My fourth visit to Weihai this year brought me back to the familiar shores of Jinsha Bay, once again in pursuit of the setting sun. Yet, this particular evening defied all previous observation.
Today’s sky was draped not in heavy clouds, but in a veil of delicate, thin haze. This layer acted as a magnificent natural softbox, uniformly scattering the sun’s intense golden light. This atmospheric filtering eliminated the harshness and intensity of previous sunsets, leaving behind only unsurpassed clarity and profound softness.
This phenomenon elevated the scene to an unforgettable state: it was, without a doubt, the cleanest and most gently luminous sunset I have ever been privileged to document.
