The long-awaited trip to Iceland has finally arrived! I was fortunate enough to experience a comfortable six-hour flight with Delta, as they unexpectedly upgraded me. After meeting my friend at the airport, we collected our rental car and headed towards Kirkjubaejarklaustur, a picturesque town located in Southern Iceland. The day was simply stunning, with fresh air, a deep blue sky, and fluffy clouds. We couldn’t resist stopping multiple times to capture the breathtaking scenery, causing our three and a half hour drive to stretch out to six hours. It’s no wonder that the now-defunct Icelandic airline, “Wow Air,” was named as such; the road trip truly offered a series of awe-inspiring moments!
