Today, we took a ferry to the Westman Islands, a location renowned for spotting puffins. This was our second attempt to catch a glimpse of the birds, but we were still unsuccessful. Information about puffins is limited online, but two key factors for sightings are location and timing. The best times to spot puffins are in the early morning or late evening, but we always missed these windows. During the day, puffins either hide in their nests or fly far out to rest on the water, making it difficult to see them. Despite not seeing the puffins, the Westman Islands have much more to offer in terms of sights and adventures, so I plan to return in the future.
