Speaking of puffins, not visiting Borgarfjarðarhöfn today would have been a major regret for me, as during my Iceland trip in 2019, I spent a day visiting the Westman Islands but only saw a couple of them. On the second day of this year’s trip, I drove for over ten hours back and forth to the westernmost corner of Iceland, Látrabjarg, in the hopes of seeing puffins, but unfortunately, I still didn’t have any luck. However, my persistence paid off, as this morning I searched online and decided to make a spontaneous stop to Borgarfjarðarhöfn, and was finally able to see a large number of these adorable seabirds.
